Equicel® Gel

Hemostatic gel in bio-absorbable regenerated cellulose, produced through the oxidation of a suitable form of cellulose: pure viscose. This phase is followed by additional processes, aimed at obtaining a pure and high quality form of oxidized and regenerated cellulose.

Equicel® Gel does not require assembly, it must be used dry and applied directly to the site where hemostasis is required. It is available in 3 ml or 6 ml packs or in laparoscopy kits.

Equicel® Gel is used for the control of capillary, venous and small arterial haemorrhages, in cases where ligation or other conventional control methods are impractical or ineffective.
