Composition

PGLA Co-polymer of glicolide (90%) and lattide (10%).

Description

Braided and coated synthetic short term absorption suture.

Color

Violet (D&C Viola – Violet – Violeta n.2 = C.I. 60725) or undyed.

Sizes and standard needles

EP from 0,7 to 4; USP from 6/0 to 1. Darvin Lac fast is attached to AISI 300 or AISI 400 stainless steel atraumatic needles.

Tensile Strength

After 5 days from implant ~ 50% of the tensile strength remains, after 14 days ~ 0%.

Absorption

Complete within 45 days.

Indications

In soft tissues approximation, where a fast absorption of the suture is required. For istance circumcisions, skin wounds and oral mucosa membrane.
