Standard diameters and needles

EP diameter from 0.2 to 4; USP diameter from 10/0 to 1. Selene is assembled with atraumatic needles in AISI 300 or AISI 400 stainless steel, it is also packaged in bags containing Teflon pledget or “various accessories” (balls, collars, polypropylene buttons) used to anchor the end of the thread in the intradermal sutures.

Indications

In cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, ophthalmic, plastic, thoracic, whenever there is the need to slowly suture tissues scarring or requiring a non-absorbable suture; like most monofilament sutures, Selene is indicated when infected or contaminated tissues need to be sutured.
